Further Research
This is a brief discourse on the research carried out for my folly design
For my folly design the research I carried out was to simple elevate my design mind of what it can create in terms of new possibilities. The main 3 architectural styles i peered at were Indian, Islamic which may take note of Persian or the ottoman empire, and lastly Eclecticism. Each architectural style is paramount to my project study, as both Islamic and Indian would thrust me further in my knowledge in symmetry the geometry in creation of new shapes and structures. For Islamic I will explore more on domes and for Indian it would be ornamentation/embellishment oriented. Eclecticism would help to further expose how different styles can be merged together to form genuine structures. I have noted 2 architects which i find very influential namely, Arthur Benison Hubback (British Architect) and Mimar Sinan (Ottoman Architect).
I have also looked types of stones used for construction and my main focuses are sand stone, granite and marble. i would be researching the required strengths and tensile strengths needed for the materials pick for my folly design.
In a research post, there should be images, or at least references to show where you have looked for the content of the post - even if it is your own ideas and discussion, you should cross reference and show how the research supports your ideas and points made. This could be added to by exploring the materials here that you spoke about in the last paragraph.
