Smart Objective Art Portfolio 2

For my project I have chosen to work with the theme of oriental design, where I will explore a variety of Eastern architecture from the ancient past to closer centuries of our time. These may range from Indian, Islamic, Japanese or Malaysian, in hopes to study to create new form either by studying geometry and silhouette or a twist by joining elements from each architectural style - honing to a sort of Eclecticism like the sort of work done by Arthur Benison Hubback in the early 20th century. I will furthermore explore some architects who have worked in the idea or culture in Eastern Architecture and materials used for construction being types of stone like limestone and marble; types of bricks like mud-brick, and cement. The building/structure would be a multipurpose folly type design to either incorporate shade from the sun or rain, or to be used as a picnic or as an aesthetic element to its surroundings. I will show linear perspectives, elevation and floor plans for this structure, and will show its final outcome on my website on the 7th of September.

  1. Remember that when we do class tasks you should follow the structure and questions asked, and try to be clear and to the point on your responses. You need to catch up on all work that should be on your blog by week 6 as currently you are behind and haven't included class tasks completed so far either.
