The use of these Architectural details and making a personal design
The architectural details used in my building range from:
- Capital/column
- Stone masonry
- Cornice
- Rustication
- Dome/roof
- Quoin
- Window
- Ornamental detailing
- Balusters
- Geometry

Stone masonry - For the buildings exterior walls I did two types, one in a regular format of a stretcher/running bond and another in a style I created which may look like a bee hive design.
Examples and my work -
Cornice - Both decorative and functional, it is used to direct rain water away from the building. Portrayed as an element in Egyptian, Greek and architectural styles. Influenced by them I created my take on the cornice.
Examples and mine:
Rustication - Chamfered smooth rustication with keystone but with a slightly different design in mine. Rustication is done to emphasize the edges of each block usually a v edge, all this would make the size of the block very clear and visible.
Examples and mine:

Dome/roof - A hemispherical structure evolved from the arch usually done to form the ceiling or roof. For the museum I would design a 4 sided dome for each roof but with a slight tweak in design for each. Each dome would be made of glass and brass as to create a see through effect and bring natural lighting into the building.
My influences and my work;
Although being the front view this is actually a 4 sided
dome design made with glass and brass.
Quoin - This would be used for aesthetic detail and for structural value on the building, I chose to create mine a bit differently.
Influences and my work:
Window - Being influenced by the architectural languages/references I chose for my project, I decided to create a more unique design for the building in terms of the angles and geometry.
Some inspirations and my work:

Ornamental detailing - Decoration can play a large and small part in the classical languages and choosing to do the same the ornaments on the building can be of a geometric shape or certain patterns done on the building.
Inspiration and my work:
Balusters - These are a series of small posts supporting the railing. These would be situated at the terrace on the second floor and its design although new is inspired from my architectural references
Inspiration and my work:
Geometry - The entire building makes use and is influenced by some geometric principles in classical architecture. From the shape of the building to the detail design on the capital on the column. From influences like Art Deco the design elements of doors and the windows are all done to show a pattern and to create a shape, angular, edgy look,
